It's mid February and I can't believe the snow. I've been waiting all winter for some snow and it's finally here. Seems like January was summertime weather as we walked along the boulevard and played in the backyard with the swans. Even when it snowed it was warm.
Christmas this year was fun. Mom, Dad, and I decided to cut our own Christmas tree. When we got to the tree farm I went off on my quest for the perfect tree. I found it and Dad started cutting. Seemed like it took forever! We finally got the tree home and all decorated. Maybe next year we'll buy a tree that's ready-made.
On Christmas Eve I got all dressed up for Santa again. Boy, it's warm, let me take my shawl off. Hee, Hee! Christmas Day was when I had the most fun. Santa brought me a special gift this year, my very own captain's chair for our boat. I can't wait for the summer to use it! I saw all my cousins at Yaya and Papou's house. Then later at Gram and Papa's house we got another surprise...a cruise! How exciting, another cruise! And that's what I'm going to tell you about next.
In late February we went on another cruise on Costa Cruises. Check out our ship and our cabin! We had great views all week from our cabin. Our first port was in Key West first, but it was for a short visit. Our next stop was in Mexico. We went to a beautiful private beach for the afternoon. I had a great time with my cousins. So much for fixing my hair that day.
Then we went to Ocho Rios in Jamaica. Daddy went to climb the Dunn River Falls with my cousins. I couldn't go so Mom stayed on the beach with me. When everyone got back we went to another beautiful beach in Jamaica where I made a friend. Then I decided I wanted braids in my hair. My cousin, Hannah, got braids, too. How do we look?
Our last port was in the Caymans. It's a beautiful island. Mom, Dad, and I went on a boat to see fish and coral reefs. I saw some really cool fish. Then we went to the turtle farm where I saw turtles bigger than I am! Good thing there were little baby turtles, too.
There were two days that we were at sea so I was, you guessed it, in the pool with my cousins.
Evenings were fun because we dressed up in pretty outfits. I brought so many clothes and had so many choices, I didn't have time to wear them all.
